What Is Embezzlement?
Persuant to Arizona Revised Statute 13-1802, Embezzlement is described as the crime of stealing all or small parts of property when someone has been entrusted with monitoring or managing the property.
The embezzlement of property or services valued between $1,000 and $2,000 is a Class 6 felony, punishable with up to 2 years in prison.
The embezzlement of property or services valued under $1,000 is a class 1 misdemeanor, punishable up to 6 months in jail.
